Introducing the Daiwa Revelry Spin Reel series, Daiwa’s newest reel developed specifically for Australia and New Zealand, with both a finesse inshore range and a heavy-duty inshore/light offshore range. Built for the more serious anglers, the new Daiwa Revelry reels come packed with some of Daiwa’s latest and greatest features to ensure smooth operation, durability, and high performance.

The Daiwa Revelry FC MQ Spin Reels are the “finesse custom” offering from the range, built on a lightweight Zaion single-piece Monocoque (MQ) frame, making them one of the lightest spin reels Daiwa has to offer. By using the Zaion MQ body, the Daiwa Revelry FC MQ reel is equal parts tough as it is lightweight. A fully forged and machine-cut aluminium Tough Digigear drive is equipped inside the MQ body, giving the Revelry FC buttery smooth rotation and a long-lasting drivetrain.

Daiwa’s Air Rotor and Air Bail deliver precise line control and a refined feel, and Magseal along with the MQ body help to prevent ingress of water and debris into the gear case of the reel. Basically, the Daiwa Revelry FC will withstand the elements better than most. On top of all this, 8+1 ball bearings (4 of which are CRBB bearings) ensure silky smooth operation and super quick/effortless start-up rotations.

Available in 2000 and 3000 shallow spool options, and in 2500 in both regular and shallow spool options, The Daiwa Revelry FC MQ reels will surely be a hit for the more serious finesse style fishing community.

 

Features:

• Monocoque Body: MQ Body takes reel design to the next level. The MQ system does not require a conventional side plate, instead using an engine plate to screw directly to the body. Eliminating the need for screws to hold a body cover in place. MQ body improves the strength of the reel, it also improves the water resistance of the body and allows a larger diameter drive gear to be installed.
• Zaion Body: A high-density resin and carbon material, Zaion resists corrosion, and exceeds the strength of traditional reel body materials such as magnesium and alloy.
• Magsealed Body: Ultimate protection is delivered to the engine room of the reel with a magnetised oil seal located on the main shaft of the reel’s rotor shutting the door to the elements and unwanted intruders. Dust, water, and salt intrusion into the inner workings of a reel are a thing of the past with MagSeal.
• Corrosion Resistant Ball Bearings (CRBB): Lasting 12 times longer than standard stainless steel bearings Daiwa’s CRBBs feature specially treated stainless steel, and a protective shield on the bearing race that seals out sand, fine grit, salt crystals and other abrasives. The result is a longer-lasting bearing that’s protected from the corrosive elements that destroy traditional bearings.
• ATD Drag: Daiwa’s Automatic Tournament Drag uses an improved drag grease that exhibits a low viscosity at rest, yet becomes more viscous immediately after drag start-up. This reduces initial drag start-up inertia and combined with the structural changes of the ATD Drag System results in a smoother drag from the initial hook up.
• Finesse Drag: Designed for low start-up inertia finesse applications, and where minute incremental adjustment and silky smooth consistent drag pressure is required.
• Air Rotor: Lighter, stronger and more balanced than any rotor system that’s come before, ‘Air Rotor’ delivers a great leap forward in rotor design and function and delivers the ultimate line roller support. Made from Zaion and featuring a redesigned arch that disperses pressure to the lower section of the rotor to reduce stressing and flexing, the design is further enhanced with a hollowed out construction reducing weight, while increasing reel sensitivity and rotational balance.
• ABS Long Cast Spool: Compared to conventional spools, the LC-ABS has been shown to increase the average flight distance by approx. 5% due to its reduced weight and modified shape.
